Hugh Thompson Rice Jr. (born August 4, 1957) is an American lawyer and politician who now serves as the representative for South Carolina’s 7th congressional district in the United States Congress. The district encompasses much of the northeastern portion of the state, including Myrtle Beach, the Grand Strand, Florence, Cheraw, and Darlington, as well as other communities.
